Supervision stands for the drones all-seeing eye and the unlimited view from the vertical perspective. The appearance of the imagery refers to the use of black and white in aerial photography and thermal infrared technology from the military drone vision. The aesthetic appearance of the imagery exposes the Earth’s surface through light and shade, shine and shadows as tones from black to white. With the coherence between the monochrome tonality and the distance caused by altitude, I want to reveal the aesthetic violence, dehumanizing the subject. Through depicting an unfamiliar vision of the Earth the beholder will take distance from reality.
